The Making of From Grace

From Grace is not just a sixty-minute feature film, it is a coming together of talented people, willing to put their trust in one another, to achieve something that seemed impossible.

How it started
From Grace was written for a group of talented actors studying together in Paul Kampf’s acting class (www.paitraining.com). There was no money, no crew, no shoot dates, and no foreseeable ability to take this script from page to screen. But through determination and the unshakable faith of those involved, this project started moving towards realization.

Six months after the reading of the script, an Angel Investor came onboard to support the creation of this film. From there, locations were secured, and our shooting team was assembled.

Through everyone’s tireless efforts, we completed the shoot of this entire film in only four days. As we started post-production, we attracted even more amazing professionals to the project. Between our editor, sound mixer and visual post house, the production now had two Emmy Awards and one Academy Award behind it.

In total, this unique film would have cost nearly $300,000. However, we completed the entire project for a fraction of that total. An astonishing feat, but a testament to the time, effort and confidence shown by everyone associated with this unique endeavor.
