Breadline Productions Prepares for Powerful Feature Film
LOS ANGELES, CA – Breadline Productions has had a very active year completing an award winning feature film (From Grace) and two short films (Life Support & For What Is…) that are hitting the festival circuit. Now they turn their attention to a powerful drama that follows a difficult but talented sax player, Zap, who is at an age where chasing glory might cost him the only relationships in his life.
This film has already crossed into an exciting realm of possibility with John Heard taking the lead role in the film. Heard is one of the most talented and revered actors in the industry and through his hundred plus film and television performances, he has built the reputation as an actor’s actor.
The wonderful Laura San Giacomo will play Zap’s girlfriend of fifteen years. She is an actor of amazing heart, empathy and craft. Giacomo has the unique ability to bring hope to a character that has the world stacked against her.
Rose, a woman who teaches Zap some of the most important lessons of the script, is being portrayed by the astonishing Diane Venora. From stage to screen, Venora is regarded as one of the great American actresses working today.
Local and Los Angeles casting sessions will pick up late fall headed by Monika Mikkelsen Casting.
Shoot dates are set for fall of 2011 with locations in the Midwest already being scouted.
